Plain English, because you are spending money here and you should know exactly what you are and are not getting.
A spot is a listing position on this website. It is not a security, not an investment, not equity in anything, and it produces no yield. You are bidding for a place on a leaderboard and the traffic that may or may not come with it. Nothing on this site is a promise of visitors, clicks, sales or ranking anywhere else, and nothing here should be understood as an opportunity to make money.
Every spot goes up for auction every fifteen minutes. The highest bid when a round closes wins it. A spot nobody has won opens at $5; after that it opens one dollar above what it last sold for.
Until somebody outbids you, and no longer. There is no rent, no expiry and no fee for holding a spot, but there is also no guaranteed term: your spot goes back up every fifteen minutes and anyone may bid on it. If a round produces no bids, you keep it and pay nothing. You are buying a position on a board, not a permanent asset, and you should not treat it as one.
Because every winning bid goes to us, the only credit you can ever hold is money you put in and did not spend. Getting it out is therefore a refund of your own payment, returned to the card or account it came from. You do it yourself from your account page and it is not conditional on our approval.
Three limits follow from that, none of them discretionary. We can only return money you actually paid us. Credit committed to a live bid has to win or lose first. And a payment older than roughly six months can no longer be refunded to its original method, because the payment provider will not accept it; contact us in that case.
We may hold or reverse credit where we reasonably suspect fraud, chargeback abuse or self dealing, or where the law requires it.
What your spot displays goes through review before it appears. We will reject anything unlawful, deceptive, adult, hateful, malware bearing, or impersonating someone. A rejected listing loses its wording, never the spot: you keep what you paid for and can submit something else. We are not obliged to explain every decision, and our judgement on what belongs on a public board is final.
One person, one account. Do not create extra accounts to buy your own spots, inflate the board, or manufacture activity. Doing so can cost you the affected spots and any credit that came from it.
We may adjust the round length, the minimum increment, the opening prices, the minimums, the number of spots or the categories, and we will say so on this page when we do. Changes are not retroactive: an auction that has already closed settles under the terms in force at the time. We may also void an auction and return every bid if it was affected by a fault on our side.
If we shut yourspot.lol down, we will give notice and refund outstanding credit before we go. We cannot promise the board itself lasts forever.
The site is provided as it is. We do not guarantee it will be available without interruption or free of defects. To the extent the law allows, our total liability to you is limited to the credit balance in your account plus anything we owe you on an outstanding refund.
